Display of my voice analysis workflow
Here is a display of my voice analysis workflow.
The main idea is to be able to easily remove unwanted sounds like "uhm." This makes the complete process of editing a podcast episode much faster, with much better final results. In this case, I was able to remove all the unwanted sounds from an almost 65-minute audio file in just a few minutes. I repeated the process for a different file, as this is a two-person interview. When I continue the editing process with Reaper, it is much faster and easier. I end up stopping for specific edits just a few times.
I created this because I do not trust automatic removal without manual verification. This way, I am able to create a complete analysis and go match by match, selecting what I want to remove. The tool creates crossfades after making the cut, so the file sounds ok, without any unwanted noises.
More details and updates coming soon.
